Windows may not "come with" a mail program, but a lot of computer
manufacturers include Windows Live Essentials, including Mail. If not,
it's a free download from Microsoft. Personally, I've switched to
Thunderbird when I got my Windows 7 computer recently. I love it. The
keystrokes are a little different, but honestly it took me a few days to
be comfortable with it. And it has a normal menu bar!

Oh, thank you. WLM comes with 8.1, right? I was told that I'd have to find a
mail client because 8.1 didn't come with its own mail program, so just want to
make sure in advance. I'll probably get a new computer within a week or so and
it's stressing me out already. *Sigh!*
I will go with the WLM option, then, unless someone else has any other/better
ideas. Thanks for your help.
