Hello. You need to do three things to accomplish what you want to accomplish. Go into word and make sure that the application-specific voice profile is set to the default profile. To do this, you should open word, while focused on word, you should press "Jaws key + control +S" this will open the select a profile combo box. You will have two combo boxes in here. The first combo box sets the default voice profile and the second one sets the application-specific voice profile. Right now we want to make sure that all of your applications are using the default profile. Meaning that you should hear "for Microsoft Word 2013 combo box. Use default". Once you do this for all applications. You should make sure that the default profile is set to eloquence.

Eloquence is the default voice for Jaws. If you want to try it, bring up the Jaws screen then press alt F. Arrow down to voices and press enter. Press enter on voice adjustments. You will be placed in the profile menu. I believe the top selection is eloquence. If you haven't adjusted the rate etc. it will sound pretty slow. But the rate, amount of punctuation and other parameters may be adjusted if you like the quality of the voice. I like eloquence very much and I use it on all my computers running jaws.
