So how do I know if I have the version of Kindle you are talking about? I
have a version of Kindle on my lap top already but which one?

Unfortunately jaws doesn't work within the reading window itself in the
kindle for pc with accessibility. For reading you are limited to either Tom
or Samantha. Interestingly, although I like Samantha fine on the iPhone, I
can't tolerate her on the laptop. Go figure.
