Actually, NLS and Bookshare books are in a special format like DAISY
or BRF that sighted people can't access.  The argument publishers make
is that if a screen reader that is on the phone or similar device can
be used by anyone and is not an exception to the law.  I can't imagine
many people would rather have a mechanical voice read a book than have
a live voice read it but computer voices will continue to improve so
the publishers want to take a stand now.  I don't agree with them at
all.
