With JAWS 16, I never have a problem with links on static websites. However, I come across more and more websites that seem jumpy, whether because they have so much content that they take ages to load properly or because they keep feeding ads or other content.
I thought I had "page refresh" in JAWS quick settings turned off, but apparently that setting wasn't transferred over when I merged my JAWS 15 settings into JAWS 16. I've just now set it to "every 60 seconds." In the good old days, I could navigate to a link using either the arrow keys, the Navigation Quick Keys, or the Tab Key. When I then heard "link" I could press either the spacebar or the Enter key and activate the link. No more, it seems. Now, the only way a link is ready to be clicked is when I tab to it, or use the JAWS+F7 dialog to navigate to the link. Using the arrow keys or Navigation Quick Keys does not place me in the "sweet spot" to activate the link using spacebar or Enter. Anyone else seeing this behavior?
