Hello, Haven't used speech output on linux much since I had a braille display. Jive doesn't feature usb or serial rs-232 ey? Doing things on Squeeze Centre machines seems to be an option. However the latency might be a problem since things will have to traverse the wireless network. When using interactive navigation of menus realtime selection of short speech files will be necessary. If we have an sd-card we might be able to swap some things on to it freeing some ram. I am not sure about cpu requirements though. Will try to find that out. I've got a friend who might help.
