Press & hold FF/REW to start skipping. Press & hold again to make it faster, and so on. Play should drop you back to normal playback.
At least that's my memory, it's not something I use much either :) KDF's scanner plugin is your friend! EDIT: of course that's with the IR remote, not Jive.
