Agreed - all sounds off as soon as I can. I get a lot of grief from my wife for the noise the remote makes as I go through setup having done a factory reset - I have to keep my thumb over the speaker until I can get to the volume settings. Still, at least the volume's lower in the later models! Someone must like noisy hardware though - just look at what a mobile phone does out of the box.
