Oh, I know lots are getting fixed every day. However, if I'm not hitting them it is generally better to not stop the music to update when someone else is listening to it, etc. (usually when I have the time to do the update). That's why I usually end up upgrading SC early Saturday morning.
This question is about the controller, though - not SC (I think - perhaps I understand even less than I think here). It looks like the jive build finishes early every morning (from the about screen and on line). If the controller prompts for an update it is usually late morning/early afternoon so that seems consistent with what you mentioned about 12 hours, I guess. What seems odd is that the controller doesn't prompt for an update every day. The question is if this is a bug or something expected.
