Back to the topic of this thread: I got my production controller today. I had no trouble setting it up, wireless network and SC were properly detected and connected to. I also noticed that a lot more networks are now visible on the controller. Wireless reception seems to be better in general.
Now to the scroll wheel. The wheel on my unit seemed to be slightly off-axis. and the gap between the wheel and the buttons was just not wide enough to make up for it. The wheel touched the + button at every revolution. Scrolling long lists was not a problem, but navigating menus was almost impossible. I tried to pry open the gap between the + button and the wheel without any success. I decided to open up the controller and try to reseat the scroll wheel and the buttons. But no luck there, either. Finally I swapped the buttons and wheel between my beta and production units. The beta wheel works fine in the production unit. Strangely enough I now have two controllers with working wheels because the production scroll wheel turns freely in the beta unit! I hope this is a one-off. If not this could become a major issue when the controller hits the market. Not being able to properly navigate menus ruins the whole duet/controller experience. -s. -- slimpy ------------------------------------------------------------------------ slimpy's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1524 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=43239 _______________________________________________ jive mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/jive
