My new controller and receiver arrived this week - thanks very much. Setting up the new controller was very easy, no problems there. I couldn't tell any difference between the new one and the old - except I also seem to have a slightly offset wheel that sticks once every rotation. I hope these are still pre-production models as I'd be really disappointed if I'd bought this one...
Now the reciever. I was quite surprised how small it is, for some reason I imagined it would be bigger. It's very nicely designed, as expected. The LED is great although once you're set up it doesn't actually do much which is a little disappointing! Setting it up was also no trouble although it didn't really go as expected. After I'd plugged the receiver in, I checked the 'change player' screen on the Controller, and found a new player - Squeezebox 19807 or something like that? I selected this player, waited for a while, and ended up on a 'select music source' screen. I selected my SqueezeCentre and again waited a while. Then I ended up in the player menu for a 'Squeezebox 3' which was quite confusing. So I never actually went into the 'setup new reciever' screen! (I did press the button on the reciever, but only after choosing the music source, just to see what it did.)
