One can now say

color <object> translucent|opaque

And it will become translucent/opaque while retaining its current color OR
applying the translucency to the inherited color.

So, if you say 'color bonds translucent' they will become translucent
while still inheriting the underlying color.

This was needed for support of polyhedra and surfaces.
