Yes, the full range of possibilities is quite complicated. I was hoping that at least we could have the simple cases of labels (e.g. atom names), rather than nothing as we currently have. But I understand your idea of doing generic design decisions. On top of that, the interest of VRML is questionable. The more I read, the more opinions I find it is an obsolete format. > What's the status of your modifications to date? Just on your local > version? It would be good to get what you have into Jmol 11.7 so that > I can see what you are working with. Yes, local only. I committed the translucency changes to SVN 11.7, that's quite simple. But I cannot do much in terms of the labels since they come out in a position that makes them invisible (coordinates of the text are in the hundreds while the atoms are in <10). Some tests I am doing just by manually editing the vrml file itself to see how it looks (and learning the syntax), but not the Jmol code yet. I can commit the modified _VrmlExporter if you want, so you can see the prototype code, but it will not work. Or attach the file to a message. (That would be tonight from home; haven't got the files here) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This SF.net email is sponsored by: SourcForge Community SourceForge wants to tell your story. http://p.sf.net/sfu/sf-spreadtheword _______________________________________________ Jmol-developers mailing list [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/jmol-developers
