I did not find access to the JPopupMenu.
Everything is protected or private.
It is not absolutely necessary but I would like to enhance the user experience 
of
the JPopupMenu by adding the undock-feature to all JMenuItem.

I would also like to form a JMenuBar from the submenus.

For rendering JMenuItem undock-able there is already  the API in STRAP.
The advantage is that users can drag frequently used menu-items to the desktop.
They can then be clicked directly without first navigating through the menu 
structure.
This is particularly useful for repeated procedures.
