I just checked in the code to handle insertion codes. And I was very proud
of it ... thought it would be a nice holiday gift for Jan :-)
But now I am going to have to back out some of the changes because of the clash in syntax. :-(
How can we have a syntax that explicitly distinguishes insertion codes
from chains?

Jan, what does RasMol 2.7.* do?I was very sorry to report, that it lacks an expression for insertion code and suggest to prepare a list of all symbols without meaning in selection expression context (and a list of those which are already assigned to a primitive - and which - would be nice to have, too [HIS]84:A.CA;B/0 :-)
