Thanks for the advice. Your code works provided the inequality symbol is removed. I can work around that problem by placing the affected models in parentheses. e.g.


select atomno=10; color atoms red;
select (atomno=10 and model=6, atomno=10 and model=7); color atoms green
animation mode loop;
animation on;

Incidently, the animation fps # does work to control the speed of the animation.

You can explicitly select atoms in particular frames by using the 'model'
syntax.

animation on;
