You've preempted my next question.
measurements are toggles, doing the same measurement clicking again, will remove them.
This is a query I've also had from our Jmol users. Is there some mechanism whereby individual/all measurements can be removed from the viewer?
If so, perhaps the UI can be improved to make deleting measurements easier for new users. If not then it appears one is needed.
An interface for new users could be to left-click a measurement label thus highlighting it (colour change). Then to delete the measurement select, say, "Measurements" > "Delete Highlighted" (keyboard shortcut "Del") from the pop-up menu. A "Measurements" > "Delete All" on the pop-up menu would clear all measurement labels from the viewer.
I suspect that advanced users would prefer similar functionality available via the Jmol Console...
