Nice :)
Only 2 minor comments :
- good idea for the button to change the background color, but maybe an other 
color than white would be better. With white background, a few things are not 
visible depending on the other choices on the page. A light grey ?
- would it be possible to put the element symbols more to the left, maybe 
aligned with the atom. In the default zooming, the symbol is closer to the atom 
at the right than to its atom
