That was my initial thought as well.
I do not have a recommendation on how to fix this, but I do have an
explanation as to why it is happening:
If you click the button that says 'All radii' you will see that the table
actually has a stack of charged atoms in front of the periodic table. So
the center of rotation *is* in the middle of the atoms ... but by default
most of the atoms are hidden.
I didn't notice that because I didn't rotate it after clicking the "All
radii button.
Q: Wouldn't it help if the scripts behind the buttons would use the
"center" command to adjust the center?
