I like it and would use it! However, I can foresee problems with  
people accidentally typing things in, especially on web pages.

I would make it a toggled item in the pop-up menu with the default  
being to ignore text typed into the application.  I will immediately  
set the application copy I use to accept typed text.  Better have the  
setting saved.
