It is very clever and works nicely.
I'm not sure about it being default behaviour though I think it would
be confusing for new/occasional users. And for us it is less flexible
than the Console as you can't paste (or I couldn't, Safari) or copy
once a command does the desired thing.
I don't think my users use the PopUp menu much and they don't need to
know the syntax for that so I doubt they would use it deliberately.
I'd vote for it being an option that can be invoked if required. It
could be an option on the popup menu?
