Thanks for the information.
I know MediaWiki deals without troubles with non latin languages, the
problem is probably due to the "collation" used in the MySql database.
Could you tell me the collation you are using in the Proteopedia wiki ? Is
it "utf8_unicode_ci", "utf8_bin" or some other collation ?
I will use the same on my database and it should do the trick.

The hosting company on which the Jmol wiki is asked me to migrate the wiki
from their old architecture to a new one.
The migration didn't go well (database problems) and I didn't have time last
week to chat with the support to get it fixed.
That's why the site was down, but it's now online again.
