Thanks for the information.
Can you tell me exactly what is not working, and what the error mesage is ?

I will try to change the "collation" (encoding) of the database behind the
wiki (probably not before tomorrow night, too busy today) to see if it
helps.

Just in case you are interested, Jmol itself could be translated into
Japanese
https://translations.launchpad.net/jmol/trunk/+lang/ja (account creation is
probably required to edit translations)
