Hi,
I am currently using "set echo IMAGE" to place four transparent GIFs into
each corner of the Jmol applet. This works perfectly except that changing
the view to stereoscopic results in the images changing colour. This means
the colour used on the GIFs no longer matches the background colour of the
web page, crippling the effect of the rounded corner.
I was therefore wondering if anyone knew of a way to prevent this from
happening. I tried increasing the depth of the image using "set echo DEPTH"
but once I got above 400 the image just disappeared.
The next option might be to detect when the user clicks on one of the
"Colour+Colour Glasses" menu items and switching the images accordingly.
This should then result in the same colour appearing even when the filter
has been applied. Although this method does result in an unhelpful increase
in workload when the background colour changes.
On a side note I am not even sure if there is actually any benefit of trying
to convert a 2D image to 3D but I will leave that with you to decide.
Otherwise it would be helpful if there was some option available to allow
the images to appear in front of the stereoscopic filter.
Thanks,
Graeme
