Thanks for the links they will certainly come in handy in the future but the
workload I was referring to was the maintenance of the images. 

Currently two background colour schemes are used so I have 8 rounded corners
in total. Then for each image I now need three different versions of that
image, increasing the number of images to 24. Then if the background colour
scheme changes 24 new images need to be created instead of the original 8.

Graeme, you can customize the popup menu so that it will do that switch
automatically. 
That way you avoid to have a detection routine or callback running (if that
is your reason for 
mentioning workload)
