Actually, you can copy and paste using cntrl-C and cntrl-V instead of the standard cmd-C and cmd-V in MacOS. This is not a Java bug, but due to the fact that we do not use the swing look and feel wrapper that would switch buttons etc to look and behave more mac-like. I'm not sure if that would make a difference for the applet anyway.
