Hi Bob et al,
I noted the arrival of HTML5 with interest as Jmol has no apparent prospect of 
running on iPhones or iPads in the foreseeable future as Java is not supported.
Could this somehow lead to a Java free Jmol running only in HTML5/javascript??

At the html5 wikipedia site I note:

Deprecated elements will be dropped altogether: acronym, applet,
