I have tried to mimic a piece of one of your pages, namely:

I also tried to view this page in Firefox, but you are using the signed applet.
Everything I have tried, even the stuff I should never, ever, ever do:-)
works with the signed applet for me, and I may ultimately go that route.
However, I have the same issues with Firefox on the Mac with the new script. I
have loaded it at:
www.saintmarys.edu/~pbays/JSTest/HTMLFiles/NT1.html
The equivalent path to NT2.html is the signed applet.
