Angel, I see the problem with Chrome also. I do not see the problem with Safari. On my iPad, I do not see the problem with Safari, BUT several Apps with browsers do have the problem. These apps use the Safari platform on the iPad browsers, but they always run much slower.
Is it possible that there is a set timeout problem here? I'm not Unix server side savvy, but on my Windows server, I can control server timeout settings at the aspx page level. If AJAX is involved, timeout is also set for the client side. Just to eliminate the possibility, have you tried the full url to the php page? My best guess, however, is that you may need to increase server timeout, particularly if these are large data files. You might also try grabbing it via AJAX, and setting browser timeout higher in JS or Jquery.
