In the days immediately following the tragedy this sudden, more widespread
gentleness and kindness was so evident. And at least in my observations, it
is still continuing very much. Everyone from the lawyers I work with, to
the shopkeepers I visit, to my friends, to strangers, everywhere I go it
seems people have become so much more personal and take more time to be kind
and patient and caring with each other. I've not seen that we've gotten
back to "normal" yet in that sense, and it is a nice change! It is another
silver lining in the dark cloud.
