The REAL thing is, there are 2 separate issues: 1. Music that sucks, and music that doesn't; 2. Music you like, and music you don't. These are mutually exclusive. I like lots of stuff that sucks, and I don't like lots of stuff that doesn't suck. It's the old Kenny G debate again. We all have music that falls in these categories for us individually. A lot of it has to do with what Joni refers to as a singer's "awk"; that is, his or her voice. If you're hooked on Stevie's voice, she will do no wrong for you.
