Hey, Kakki (and everybody)-- In a message dated 1/29/02 12:06:34 AM, (in the jmdl digest) you wrote: << ...and the Jimmy Webb songwriting book... >>
I believe you mentioned to me/us that you share JW (with me) as a songwriting hero -- what's the name of the book, when did it come out, etc? And is there a particularly good anthology of his stuff out? I'm in the market for more sheet music, and JW and Laura Nyro are at the top of my list. Any recommendations? I'm thouroughly familiar with JW's stuff from the 60's (e.g., all of his stuff for the 5th Dimension, and I also had a couple of his own albums, and I think one he mostly wrote and produced for Art Garfunkel), but lost track track of him somewhere along the line. And I had all of Laura's stuff, right to the end, at one time or another. Lost all of it, but I do now have the good anthology Stoned Soul Picnic -- but it's sheet music I'm after now. I'll look at all the usual websites, but any recommendation is welcome... Thanks, Walt
