Perusing Janis info and found a site that I haven't seen before. Joplin-the movie. Very embryonic and not much there yet. Said Jennifer Tilly was in it and Sam Andrew and others to be announced. Even now, Sam rides Janis' coattails but I guess that is alright since she dug him so much. The soundtrack album is to be done by a singer named Laura Theodore. Haven't heard of her. Should be interesting. Always found some of Janis in Maria McKee (always thought she was wasted by whomever was managing her). She would have been my choice but then again I didn't envision Bette being able to do a Janis; most surely not what she accomplished. Cannot wait for the final version.
