Of course!  I should have thought of that!  "There's lives a wolf in 
Lindsey...", a part of the *person* Lindsay who makes him do dark things.  
"...That raids and runs/Through the hills of Hollywood/And the downtown 
slums/He gets away with murder..."  Now that you point it out, it makes more 
sense than assuming Lindsay is, say, a part of L.A.  I always thought along 
the lines of the wolf *living* in some place called Lindsey, but raiding and 
running elsewhere for its jollies, etc.

I gotta give it more thought.  I've been listening to the song a lot lately, 
getting ready to approach it on the piano.  Thanks for the lead, Anne!
