Hey Jonipals: Looks like I finally woke up and paid attention to my Joni emails at the right time. Not only is one of my favorite singers being discussed -- it's by two of my favorite JMDLers, cranky or not.
Julia Fordham has been a staple at Casa Alegre for twelve years now. In fact, her recording of *Your Lovely Face* from Porcelain is *our song. * Ain't that sweet (gagging). Brad actually turned me on to her on our first date many moons ago. That song still concurrently warms and chills me. If you ever wanna hear anything from her catalogue, just come on by Casa Alegre. Concrete Love is her best yet, IMHO. Way to go Kline and Fordham! About the review, I must agree with Kakki. Julia has made her own mark. Joni inspired? Maybe, but how could she help it? If I ever had regrets, it would be that I have yet to see her live. BUT I am seeing James Taylor for the first time live at the Bowl on July 3!! JT and fireworks! If I go back to sleep -- everyone have a fantastic 4th!! PS - has anyone heard from Gary Zack? No regrets, Coyote Rick Casa Alegre Hollywood, California "Only fools are afraid to be burned by fire..."
