Good sleuthing! Yes....Martha Mitchell the woman everyone loved to hate back in the time of Richard Nixon's administration. She was married to John Mitchell, Nixon's attorney general. She spilled the beans on the goings on and ended up testifying before the Senate. She was a talker and such a blabbermouth!! Although, I believe, DJRD came out during Carter's reign?

Concerning Martha in "Talk To Me"... Martha Mitchell was in the news alot
around the time of the release of 'DJRD'.  I just naturally thought it was
M.M. that Joni was referring to.  A thought.
