> Lori, > Bibles? You would shoot someone with a bible? Sure, why not? "We" would shoot someone with a copy of the Koran, wouldn't "we"??
> But are against war? I'm against war that breaks more than it fixes. And as you'll recall, I served 10+ years in the U.S. military, so I think I've earned my right to my opinions about war and our inept Dept of Defense. > Now do you see why, REPUBLICANS CONTROL THE HOUSE? Yes, I do see why. As usual, not enough people got off their asses and voted. Democrats are notorious for being disorganized. And all the folks who (especially since 9/11) want to believe that Bush and his ilk are doing all the right things voted in droves. Of course - imo - these are the same people who wish life was non-stop "Happy Days" and "Leave It To Beaver," people who don't really want to THINK but who would rather just place their faith in someone who SEEMS to represent a return to a safe way of life. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA ... I'm feeling kind of bitter today, and I've already promised myself to get off my own ass and get involved with the system (as much as I detest it), RIGHT NOW, so we won't have a repeat of this tragedy. Although it may be too late. As Deb pointed out, any hope for balance on the U.S. Supreme Court during the rest of my lifetime is now pretty much gone. But ... never give up. Die trying. Lori ~
