My friend who wrote "Happy F@#$ing Birthday", Mark Richard, also wrote a
great song called "Halloween".  I don't know the words but it's a great
song.  I'm hoping to go see him in Carolina this month.  He's a fabulous
songwriter and also makes beautiful instruments.  In my song, "American
Beauty", one of the verses is about jack'o'lanterns.

"Lonely jack'o'lantern,
Forgotten with the breaking of the day.
Or did you just lose your way,
Will you ever glow again?"
