Offhand, I can think of the traditional "Tam Lin" as performed by Fairport
Convention - "For tonight is Halloween, and the fairy folk ride..."
There's also Richard Shindell's "Are You Happy Now." The gist of that song
is that a girl moves out on a guy on Halloween, and cleans him out, even
taking the candy meant for the trick or treaters. So the next morning the
poor guy is all depressed, and there's toilet paper on the trees and
shaving cream on the car from all the kids who tricked him. It's a cute
little song. Richard Shindell is a cute little songwriter.
