Brown stuff?  Brown stuff?!  Marmite is wonderful!  And never compare it
with Vegemite, which is awful (people either love Marmite and hate Vegemite,
or vice versa - there is no middle ground)!  It's made from a yeast extract,
and the taste is very hard to describe.  Quite salty, and a bit like beef
tea if you've ever tried that.  You can actually make a kind of broth by
mixing a spoonful with hot water - we always used to have it when we were
sick as kids.  Yum!

HP Sauce (according to the label) is a "A blend containing Vinegar, Oriental
Fruit and Spices".  It's kind of like a steak sauce, and is really nice with
chips (sorry, fries).  A friend of mine won't eat anything from a frying
pan, unless he's got HP sauce to go with it - and yes, he's British!
