Bob,
I work for a Credit Union and believe me they have all the services that
these huge Banks do. They have direct deposit, ATM, check cards, auto loans
and leases, 2nd mortgages, home equity loans and home banking, to name a few
of these services. Check to see if there is a Community Credit Union in your
area. Usually all you have to do to become a member, is you must work, live
or worship in that community and keep 5.00 in a savings account. The fees are
much less than these huge Financial Institutions charge because they are "not
for profit organization." Checking is free and you only get charged if you
use a foreign ATM and usually they give you 5 free transactions per month! My
credit union only charges 15.00 for a return check fee versus First Union's
32.00. I'll never go back to a Bank.
