oh give me room for a bitch session Bob....
the bank i joined as a kid changed hands not so long ago. one day i went in
to withdraw cash (so i could pay for a certain holiday to USA) and the lady
ever so cheerfully told me i'd need my mother to sign for me to withdraw>
you can imagine my horror. as usual i had left things until the last minute
and needed the money there and then.
i was shocked. so i ranted- i'm usually quiet and timid but i was stressed.
i informed her that i'm not some child off the street, that i am legally old
enough to drive, vote, drink, have sex, and certainly old enough to work
bloody hard and lodge my damn wages in this bank!
yes, i was frustrated. i mean, she thought i was like 14 or something. i
do look young, but i dont think i look like a minor. Chris
Marshall....chime in here!?!:-)
one other time the manager of a local (goevernment run) bank shouted at me
when i tried to cash a check. told me to bring my father with me. oh, the
youth of today have so much to put up with:-D
