To: The Group:

After many weeks, I have a second web site up and is located at:
http://www.freepchost.com/joachimkurt/

Included is a review of "Both Sides Now." I just purchased the Cd, and it
does include Joni and her voice and it is a great album. Ironically, Rickie
Lee Jones has done the same thing and has included her own version of
"Trouble Man." Somehow I think Rickie Lee Jones does indeed listen to Joni.
>From what I have read about both artists, they respect and admire each
others work. Things have been said on both sides since they were often
compaired. In my mind, Rickie Lee Jones shares more in common with Laura
Nyro than Joni Mitchell. They both have very different approaches to music.
Also, Aimee Mann, who is gaining more respect each day, has created one of
the great albums of 2000, Bachelor Number Two.

Let me know what you think of the site. Plus, if you have any information,
art work, anything at all you want to post, or add, let me know. I am
working on making this site a real resource as a supplement to the official
Joni Mitchell web site. I do not want to replace it,since the official site
is really great, I just want to put things into mine that may not fit the
official site.

So if there are rare songs by Joni Mitchell you want listed, lyrics, videos
let me know.
This past month I had the chance to hear for the first time, Eastern Rain.
WInter Lady, Born to Take the Highway, Just like Me, Brandy Eyes, Blue on
Blue and they are great songs! IT is really too bad they never made into
into a box set.

One song I have been looking for is Day by Day, her first song, and Hunter,
the song that did not make the cut on Blue.

Again, any obscure information, reviews, what ever, let me know.
Also anything I can provide, let me know.
The group has been really great about providing material.
Right now my joni list includes all her recorded albums to the present,
Shadows and Light on video and on DVD painting with words and music.
Sadly, Shadows and Light on video is copy protected. If you can get a copy,
do. It includes her take on songs not included on the record or cd. Also,
Words and Music on DVD is excellent. It shows Joni Mitchell at her Jazz
best with great backing.

Take care,
Kurt von Behrmann
