Hi Brian-
Hejira is so far up there for me too. And I always have such wonderful
journeys while I am out on them. As a matter of fact, in Anaheim two weeks
ago I got see Larry play (along with his son who is FANTASTIC) and got to
speak to him for awhile. We chatted about a mutual friend who has long since
passed, Emily Remler. She was a fabulous jazz guitar player from New
Orleans. We talked about a gig they had done at the Jazz Fest in the Jazz
Tent. It was just the two of them and they were amazing. I wish I had a tape
of that show (didn't have the guts to ask if he had one). We also talked
about him being on my show next time he is down in New Orleans.
