i've been totally working backwards on this band radiohead. 'kid a' was the
first one i picked up because of clark and slut. then i got 'ok computer'
because of this college kid i know. i still think that's the best one i
have. then i got 'the bends' which is really good too only not as good as
'ok computer'. then i picked up 'pablo honey' over christmas and i finally
heard this song ..creep.
anyway, i've read up on them and this song was a major hit in the uk in like
1993 and i've never ever heard of it. i'm wondering if the uk people like or
dislike radiohead. i'd be hard pressed to believe that jason does not like
them. they might be too harsh for colin's tastes..lots of guitar crunch. i
also see that a lot of their stuff is not as available in the usa.
now, this song creep is really creepy. thom yorke has a really creepy voice
and the thing comes on soflty and then has these two eruptions or
explosions...that go ....BOOOSHH.....BOOOSHH.... you can sort of tell
they're guitar sounds but they really jump out of the speaker and cut you to
the bone. then the full chord comes in and the song explodes. the BOOOSHHs
come in like pearl jam jumping into nirvana unplugged. but what's really
cool is where the BOOOSHH's come in. so i'm going to insert them in the
first verse of the lyrics.
