Asunto: She don't like my grammar
Being a teacher of English I often use songs as a teaching aid. The Beatles
are the best for that. I was listening to FTR and caught the line, she don't
like my kick pleat skirt, she don't like my eyelids painted green. Obvious
grammar errors there. I thought I could use this artistic license as a test
for my students. The only other Joni one that comes to mind is, I didn't
know I drank such a lot. Any lines from songs you know with blatant grammar
errors? Dylan, I never knowed. Having a giggle at the thought of Joni
singing, doesn't it always seem to go. So wrong!
