<<What are your favourite jazz or jazz-y Joni
tracks??? and why?>>

I'll take a stab at it as well...good question Garrett!

#1. Sweet Sucker Dance - features her best pure singing to date.

#2. Trouble Man (Kyle Eastwood's 'From There to Here') - it don't mean a thing if it
ain't got that swing, and Joni swings on this one!

#3. Summertime (Herbie Hancock's 'Gershwin's World) - Again, for the singing and the
luscious instrumentation. If only BSN had begun to approach the quality of this one...

#4. The Wolf That Lives In Lindsey - A very haunting song, it stops me in my tracks
every time and I have to listen to it more than once. It still amazes me that Marian
can play this one dead on!

#5. Harry's House/Centerpiece - Again, an intriguing song. The way she weaves
Centerpiece into the tapestry of the lyric is genius...HOSL flows so seamlessly it's
almost hard to pick out one track.

Only 5!?! Damn! I can't mention anything from the also-seamless Court & Spark, or
Paprika Plains, or Barangrill, or Harlem in Havana...I take it back, Garrett...this is
a TORMENTING question! ;~)
