A while back, the question came up: what is folk?
Now I need to ask, What is jazz? esp. as relates to
Joni? Where does jazz begin? Where does it end? You
could say everything on "Mingus" is jazz. But what
about the rest of it? To me, "Hissing" is jazz. Most
of it. Maybe all of it. But why? Sages of jazz,
answer me do.
