When I first listened to HOSL life found me going through a divorce and
having a small baby girl to raise. I moved back home with my folks. They had
a built in swimming pool in the backyard. The houses Joni depicts on the
album cover remind me of that old neighborhood. I could definitely feel the
imagery Joni painted. I use to drift asleep floating on a raft with yes the
lawn sprinklers going in the neighbors back yard.
