"Almost Famous" really depressed me when it was all
said and done. Don't get me wrong, I thought it was a
great movie, and I enjoyed in thoroughly.
But I couldn't help thinking ... if rock 'n roll was
really thriving today, the movie couldn't have been
made. There wouldn't have been any nostalgic value
for the film to trade in on. Which to me, seemed to
mean that, R&R must really be dead this time -- since
we were all able to remember "those days" so fondly.
Of course, we all know that's not really true (Tom
Petty's still alive), and since Stevie's new release
charted #5 in it's debut week ... I guess there's
hope.
But did anybody else feel that was about the movie?
Just curious ...
